difficult. Most club owners rely on capturing referral leads at the initial
point of sale as their only referral strategy because they are so concerned
with new members that they forget about their current ones. Not only does
this limit your number of referrals but it also kills your member retention.

Over the past several
years as a business and marketing consultant to the fitness industry,
I've seen and implemented dozens of different referral and retention
systems.
I've worked with hundreds of fitness professionals and health club
owners and after all my years of helping fitness businesses get more
referrals and improve their retention - I've concluded that the number one
method to doing both of these things is to simply develop a very close and
personal relationship with your member, so that when the time is right, they
